Re-Calling Customer Service People

So I'm curious, when you call a customer service person, do you take the first one's word for whatever they're saying or do you hangup and try someone else?
Lately I've been hanging up and trying a time or two again and having a lot of success. I know people talk about doing this with DirecTV, but I did it with AMEX and Century Link and after two tries with AMEX and three with Century Link I was able to get fees waived just because that person felt like it.
Never done this before. I feel like I've been a sucker for so long before this :bang head:!

I do it all the time. Most customer service reps are lazy shits, so I ask to be transferred to someone else or keep calling until I get someone worth a shite.

Yea I was just talking to the internet chick for a bit and finally she's like "ok lemme look up the code to waive the early termination fee" and all the sudden, poof, no more $350 fee.
