Found at the end of an article - LINK

LSU was founded not in Baton Rouge but in Pineville, La., in 1853 as Louisiana State Seminary of Learning & Military Academy. ... Mike the Tiger, LSU's mascot lives in a 15,000-square-foot habit. ... LSU had more graduates enlist during World War II than any school other than military academies. ... Bengal Punch, created for the LSU football team in 1958, is believed to be the first sports drink ever developed.

Thought it was interesting as I didnt know most of that.

Our colors use to be blue and white. It changed one year when we played in the sugar bowl and all the fans went buy mardi gras shite to wear and that is why we are now purple & gold. Not sure if its in there, but that's a fact.

Prostitution use to be ran out of the basement in locket. It was a club of sorts which charged a monthly membership fee, which you had to have just to be able to purchase the "services" of the women. ... I made that up.

Almost right. When we played our first game in 1893, Charlie Coates thought our gray uniforms might look lame compared to Tulane's. So he went out to buy ribbon. The store had purple and gold for Mardi Gras but they hadn't received green yet.

I heard Tureaud Hall use to be a famous spot for playing "hide the pickle". At 8:00PM a group of over 100 men would lock the doors and the only thing people know is whatever they did.. they called hide the pickle.

Here's a "pickle" and it's obvious that it needs hiding.

That a the President of LSU left the school to become a famous Union General and fight and kill many of his former students at the outbreak of the Civil War.

Think your teacher cares?

Does anyone know the scoop on an old airplane being permanently entombed somewhere underground on the campus?

It seems like I remember that it may be under Tiger Stadium.
