I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to dip, been doing it for probably 7 years, Im 25. But the weird thing is that I'll go 4-5 days without one and then randomly I'll want one if I drive somewhat far. If I don't drive for more than an hour for a couple weeks I won't dip at all. Just a boredom thing for me.

Just YOLO it and get seeds or gum.

in seriousness dude do it quicker. 4, 3, 2, 1 in consecutive days as soon as you really decide to do it. The addictive nature of nicotine is almost overblown, I'm convinced people would quit easier if the "OMG super addictive" aspect wasnt pounded into everyone's head. It's 90% psychological. Just embrace the suck, and deal with being uneasy and irritable for a few days. There is no easy way around it. That's all there is to it. Think about other things, keep yourself busy, eat sunflower seeds. Don't be a pussy and just do it

This. It's almost all mental. I dip, fwiw.

If she is already this bossy and controlling in your relationship, you will need snuff/nicotine as a relaxant to put up with the further shite she is going to demand from you. Compromise with her and find something else to change about yourself. Snuff may actually save your sanity or even life in this case.

Easy, start swallowing the shyt until you get sick. Do that til you can't look at dip without your stomach churning. I was dipping every day as a teen til i was out on a boat and got sick accidentally swallowing some. Its been 15 years and I still get nauseous even smelling an open can.

You will never quit for someone else. You have to want to do it for yourself. I quit for 4 months last year and started back up for some reason. Sunflower seeds tore my mouth up worse than dip. I chewed a lot of gum. If I felt an urge to dip, I'd put extra pieces of gum on my mouth and hold it in my lip just like I'd do a dip. It got easier after the 3rd day.

I quit cold turkey 8 years ago and haven't touched it since. It was hard at first, especially when doing yard work, playing golf, reading, etc. I don't miss it at all now. You can do it.

The patches are a good start for the first week or 2. Get the level 3 ones since you didn't dip like crazy. They'll just slowly make your craving go away. Also you have to make sure that you're fully committed and have accepted never dipping again. If you haven't, you'll be dipping again soon.

My girlfriend got me to read a little article about Sean Marsee's smokeless death when I was at LSU Smokeless Death I quit shortly thereafter.

Hope this resonates with you. Good Luck.

Not enough room in your mouth for dip and truck nuts, so you choose to keep sucking on the truck nuts. Not surprised

I quit cold turkey 2 weeks ago after 9 years of dipping. I pretty much did exactly what Genro typed, just suck it up and quit being a bitch. Quit for yourself, not for your girlfriend. She's not the one who will have to get her jaw removed

if someone is making you do it, you wont quit.

you'll quit for a few days\weeks but you'll always sneak one in.

my wife 'made me quit' when i was in the marines and i dipped for 5 years while married......of course you don't get to dip at home on the couch anymore unless she's gone.

years later, i put a dip in when the seahawks beat the broncos. woke up the next morning and have never even wanted a dip since then. quite cold turkey because "I" wanted to quit.

dont quit, you have better chance of getting cancer from the food you eat than dipping. Many studies now say the chance of oral cancer from chewing tobacco are very small. You only live once, stop trying to avoid death. Enjoy life
