Question on child development. How old would you expect this kid to be?

Let's say you have a small child and you present her with 3 or 4 numbers and she can tell, verbally, what number is missing.
For example: if you say "one, two, three" and ask and she says "four" but with different variations on the missing number (1, blank, 3, 4 and she says "two").
At what age should one expect a kid to start communicating like that?

My kid was counting to infinity in five languages while juggling when he was 8 months old.

Would 17 months be too early?

Memorize counting to 10? probably 3 or before. My son did it earlier, daughter was later. Unless you're saying 2,4,6,? or 3,6,9,? that would be probably 8-10

I would expect it to be younger than you would like me to say

Depends on if child was breast fed or not

Are you worried he's going to be an evil genius?

Nah - like say the missing number (which is essentially memorizing I guess)

I've read 2 years old for counting, not sure if this qualifies for just counting

What does TOO early mean?
Yea, way too early. You should drop her on her head a few times to get her back in track.

17 months is pretty early I would say .. Of course I had a 18 month old that said the Hail Mary and Our Father

Don't get too excited. I could read at 3 and I spend my free time dicking off on a message board

Oh wow your child is a genius!
There's your validation.

It's hard to say. I would guess somewhere around 2-3.

Depends if child was conceived during doggy style or reverse cow girl.

8-10 years old for counting by twos or threes? That would be a lot earlier, like 1st grade or maybe even earlier. 8-10 year olds are learning multiplication/division.
