did you just say utes?

yep, I'm sure the kids don't have anymore problem getting it today than we did but we really thought we were badass when we could produce a couple of cases of beer on a Sunday, my gf even turned me on to one of the spots

Yep. Generally socializing was meeting in a semi secluded place (pasture, levee, etc) and drinking/smoking and listening to music. People would come and go throughout the night.

You could find anything you wanted at those gatherings, if you were so inclined. Saturday morning practices were rough though.

I remember playing Bossier in the early Sunday game of the Easter tournament at Walbrook, Jamie Harris had just signed with Miss St., he drives up in a brand new silver Trans Am, opens the door(covered with hickies,) swings his feet out and heaves what seemed to be about five gallons in the parking lot, then reaches in for a big sack of food from McDonald's and downs the whole bag, then goes out and throws a two hitter against us(one was a double by me ,) before that game he had thrown several no-hitters in a row

Walbrook. I pretty much grew up there. Lived in Glendale subdivision.

There were rumors one of starters would drink two tall boys before every game...

towards the end of our junior year my best friend and I would sometimes do that(Schlitz,) blame it on the Arab oil embargo, they let us drive to the games instead of taking the bus
