Question for smokers...

2 part question, really. Did you start because it was "cool" and at what point did you discover that you were trashy?

I started because it gave my hand something to do while the other hand was holding a beer.
I quit cold turkey a couple of years ago. I miss it so. Don't get me wrong, I'm healthier, and will live longer now, but damn, the thought of one having one is awesome.

i started smoking to impress a girl. I quit 18 months later. I will have 5 cigs in a month, almost always at a party. I haven't had a cig in a month, but party season is upon us so I expect I will have one at a holiday party or two.

Always smoke when I'm drunk. However the first time I tried a cig sober I threw up. Just straight nasty. Don't see how people become addicted.

Started in high school, thought it made me cooler. It didn't.

I started smoking at age 17 because where I worked, smokers got extra breaks.
