A clown hit me recently and his insurance is paying for the damages.

Is there a statute of limitations of sort? Do I have to get the repairs done in a certain amount of time?

TIA

Why don't you just go get it fixed?

Have a road trip planned in a month. Damage isn't too severe. Would rather take a rental on the trio and let them fix my car while I'm gone

It's likely a year... but it may depend on the carrier.

You can always ask, tell the other insurance carrier's adjuster that you have a work obligation on something that you need to coordinate.
