Are there any shops that will pull a screw out of a tire and plug it up without taking the tire off...for a reasonable price? I'd hate to go through the extra cost and trouble for something like that.

Why plug a tire when you can patch it? It isn't that much more for them to take the tire off, it's a fairly simple process with the right equipment. Back when I used to do that for a living I could get a tire off of the rim in less than 45 seconds.

If it's in the sidewall no one (reputable) will do it btw.

Thanks, guys. McDonald's it will be, then. Trying to save as much as I can and I don't have the strength anymore to take it off myself.

You mean to tell me you can't plug a hole in a tire?

Get a pair if pliers, pull the screw out, push the plug in and pull the tool back out. In 10 mins. you're done.

I've ruined three plug tools over the years trying to do that. Besides, I don't have the arm strength anymore, I have M.S. Slow moving, but unstoppable.

Any place that'll plug is going to be shady. Professional regard that as ruining the tire for some reason.

The little kit costs seven bucks at advance auto. I just bought one. It is good to have one in yourtruck at all times. Also have a 12 volt air compressor. This will save you a lot of grief.
