If I wanted to know all the oil drilling that had been done on a specific piece of property in Louisiana over the last 20 years, what would be the easiest way to find out?

The Department of Conservation has a website that will tell you. You need a little background in o/g or land work to navigate it efficiently.

If it was shell they don't care about old wells on a property. Seen it first hand.

Either check SONRIS or go to the parish courthouse and you can do a more thorough search of everything done to that property - leases, pipeline right of ways, rental division orders, unit pooling, etc.

SONRIS would be your best bet. They have a good GIS map and you can put many filters including well locations. You can shoot me an email if you'd like and I can help you out
