I'll accept this as your notice. You don't have to come in. Enjoy the next 2 weeks and gfy at your new job

I am always nervous as hell when changing jobs...things are often not as they appear!...but you never get anything better if you don't take a few risks along the way...

best of luck to you, man....no way any reasonable boss wouldn't understand...

Good luck I had to do this not long ago after months of interviewing with another company. It wasnt too bad. They understand, especially if its for a better oppurtunity.

Just started my new gig and I love it so far, you'll be happy when you do.

I did it a couple of months ago. Have a letter of resignation, be cordial yet to-the-point. Thank your current employer for the opportunity. If you were a good employee, it will go smoothly. I was offered incentive to stay, then told I had my job back if I ever wanted it. But my new job is going wonderfully and there was never any bad blood

Vacation between jobs is always good, particularly if you have a family of your own. I did the same thing myself. When I end my current position, I will do so by retiring in a few years. Retirement present to myself will be three weeks in Europe.
