Put car in drive and it wouldn't go. Restarted it now it goes. Thoughts?

I'm thinking transmission. And alcohol.

"Service engine soon" light is on. Nissan Altima.

I guess. I was trying to get to work so once it started going I just went with it. It wouldn't even rev when I pushed the gas pedal. Reversed out of the driveway fine but putting it in drive didn't do anything. Like no response.

Tighten the 710 cap. Probably has some moisture in it.

Did you turn the ignition before you put it into drive the first time?

Generally speaking when I put my car in drive without starting it first it doesnt drive either...

Are you sure you didn't just have it in neutral?
