Then why do they have the whole menu listed?

Don't tell me how to sonic. That's America's drive in.

Luck for you they usually bring drink only orders out to people waiting in line behind me as I get food for the entire family.

The whole point is I only get drinks at Sonic, not food. It's your fat arse holding up the line cause you're ordering a heart attack meal.

I can count on one hand how many times I've pulled into a Sonic in the last decade.

I don't really get a craving much for a chili dog the size of a miniature pinscher and a 1100 calories frozen sugar water to wash it down.

Sorry you have muffin tops and call it a 'dad bod' to justify it...

I actually asked the manager at my local Sonic this. He agreed with me. The drive through is intented for drinks but they have to put the full menu up.

People use the drive through cause they are too cheap to tip.

Oh, no, you're right, I didn't consider your needs in all this...

Hey listen up, America! Some random dick burger on TD wants to get his drinks in under 30 seconds instead of waiting like 3 minutes max. So, please stop ordering food from sonic. They don't want the money anyway.

Who takes time out of their day to pay a place to sell them sugar?

Of course he agreed with you, dude. Do you even service industry?

You could've also said "you know, I wish they would only let people with truck nuts drive on the interstate" and he would've said "yup, that would really cut down on traffic, just got my nuts shined yesterday!"

He wa agreeing with you so that you would not leave there pissed off and never come back.

I admit, it is possible that this one particular manager does, for some unknown reason, think the drive through is for drinks only. But clearly sonic corporate doesn't think that, or they would've made it that way.

sounds like they 'have to put up the full menu' because it is handy for people ordering off of it in the drive thru

Well.... Did you tip this agreeable manager when you were at the drive through? Or were you being "that guy"

I have never eaten at a Sonic, let alone had an in depth conversation with a Sonic restaurant manager about their business processes.

GFY. I order all the time.

FYI, a milk shake takes longer than it does to make a hotdog. Most food is precooked.
