With all that's been going on lately I wanted to post a video of how some cops very properly handled a delicate situation IMHO.

LINK

Notice how the rear windows were heavily tinted. Any cop would have been very worried about the possibility of a bad guy back there.

With all of the anti police rhetoric these days you will see a lot more cases like this. Police body cameras are not going to benefit people like many seem to think. They will expose how many people act like complete jerks, needlessly.

I'll defer to cops who do this for a living, all I know is that when I was watching this video my first instinct was to either move to near the driver side mirror or to casually walk back to the car and call for backup in case someone in the back seat was about to shoot. At any rate, watching this my spidey sense was going off.

Props to 50 for dealing with stuff like this.

The officer could probably see into the back well enough.

This trend of video taping and demanding citation of the statute is just stupid. Nobody could possibly memorize a statute book.

I hope the Judge who hears this case hammers her for acting so stupidly for no legitimate reason.

I am ready to lose a few freedoms if this is what it takes to control the f'n idiots in this country. Time to start building deportation ships.

Good. No one is saying people should be able to get away with crimes, but cops certainly shouldn't. They should be held responsible for their actions just as much as citizens. No reason for cops not to have required body cams.

Just a little background...

This happened a few months ago in Orlando. The girl is a part-time student at UCF.

The officer was employed by campus police.

She lied that she was having a miscarriage. She was not pregnant.

The state attorney declined to prosecute her for two felony charges. She was found guilty of resisting.

If a white cop doesn't look like the bad guy with a black suspect then what's the point of watching? I need to be "triggered" to enjoy spending my tax dollars.

I personally think it will benefit cops more. This is a good example. Also might keep the bad cops a bit more honest.

Most cops were suspicious of in-car camera systems when they first became universal in our department. But the cameras have exonerated waaaaaaaaaaay more guys than they have caught being knuckleheads. Body cameras will be the same way.

What a dumbass. All she had to do was roll the window down and sign the ticket.

She'd rather a broken window, an arrest, a change for resisting, and some time in the tank.

Some people are just stupid.

Exactly - It will be a great thing to show just what kind of shite these policemen have to deal with from their perspective.

It won't be long before the bleeding heart cop-haters will be demanding 'no video - invasion of privacy.' They prefer the random cell phone video showing only the aftermath of a situation that was escalated needlessly by the stupid perp.
