Proposed and Conceptual Interstate Corridors in Texas

The map shows the actual proposed and conceptual Interstate corridors in Texas: The proposed I-69 corridor is shown with the I-69E, I-69C, and I-69W branches. The proposed I-369 Texarkana Connector is shown, and the conceptual route for a I-269E Corpus Christi Connector is also shown. The east-west corridor, which is the fourth branch in I-69 system from Corpus Christi to I-69W is shown without a number, as no information has been provided from Texas about its designation (my guess it would be I-169). TxDOT has proposed the I-27 Plains to Ports Corridor from Laredo to Lubbock and north from Amarillo into Oklahoma and Colorado. Given the TxDOT study in 2011 concluded that upgrading US 190 to a freeway was not needed in the next 20 years, the "new" I-14 Gulf Coast Strategic Highway conceptual route should extends to the US 90 Crosby Freeway into Houston. The extension of the conceptual I-18 Acadian Xpressway into Texas begins at the Louisiana border southeast of Jasper, then extends to the existing US 175 freeway in Dallas.
