This map shows the real proposed and conceptual Interstate corridors in Arkansas: The planned corridor of I-69 is shown with the conceptual I-269 South Shreveport Bypass based on the LA 3125 Inner Loop Expressway. The I-53 corridor is based on the proposed "I-69 Spur" that is currently I-530 and AR 530 from Little Rock to Monticello, and also the proposed "I-69 Spur Extension" that both LaDOTD and AHTD have studied in 2009, which concluded an interstate freeway is the best option for a route from Little Rock to Monroe Louisiana. In addition, since LaDOTD has plans to convert the US 165 four-lane to a freeway as a megaproject, and Arkansas is planning to extend the existing US 67 freeway (green) to Missouri which may also convert both US 67 and US 60 to a freeway connected to I-57. The I-49 corridor is shown with the completed sections (green) and the actual planned corridor through the Ouachita Mountains. The map also shows the real plan to convert US 63 to I-555 to Jonesboro. I-48 is the interstate conversion of the ISTEA High Priority Corridor 8 US 412 "East-West Corridor" from Tulsa to I-155 and I-69 in Tennessee. I-32 is the interstate conversion of US 82 from I-30 or I-49 east of Texarkana Arkansas (which AHTD is gradually converting to a four-lane highway through the state), and the US 82 four-lane in Mississippi and Alabama to I-20/I-59 in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Finally, I-51 is the interstate conversion of US 65 from I-40 to Branson Missouri.
