Prince videos gone from YouTube.

No more official videos or tracks up. There are a few user videos left. That's about it and I've seen some of those taken down over the past half an hour. What's up with all of this?

Whomever owns the rights probably thinks they can make much more money off of it in his death. Probably sent immediate cease and desists to YouTube to take them all down.

Yerp.

Probably only want them available through official channels where they can capitalize on ad revenue. Sell them to news stations who want to do tributes, etc etc.

He put on an exhibition there. And my favorite part is his "drop the mic" before such a thing existed. He just chunks the guitar and does the pimp walk off stage. Awesome.

Best Solo I have ever heard. I remember the first time I saw the video and thinking he is the best musician alive.

Like many have said already, it's always been tough to find his stuff on youtube. They'll all be down soon. I'm hoping at some point all of his music will come to apple music.
