This would be awesome if I lived there. Problem is there are so many better restaurants in Lafayette and I couldn't justify going to Popeyes when passing through

Whoa, freaky. That's the exact one I was talking about 5 minutes ago in my post on the previous page. The one near Tarpon Heights in the plaza for Delchamps.

I just did a Google search, it looks like where that Popeyes used to be is now something called El Paso Mexican Grill. I feel like a little piece of my childhood is gone seeing that.

Same here, could and did eat just anything I wanted. I'm old now, and that is on its last legs, it's just starting to catch up to me recently. Not happy about that.

We used to hit that one up on the way back from fishing in Leeville. Would destroy the livers and dirty rice.

It's an all you can eat buffet. It's not exactly a place for "refined" food figs like you.

Nothing is better than smoking some weed, watching Star Trek marathons on Fox 15 and eating your giant go box of popeye's.

Now I remember it. I thought you were talking about current.

It was on Florida Blvd. just east of Marilyn a few hundred yds. It was pretty bad arse.

If $3 got me unlimited Popeyes today, I'd be searching for jobs in the area.

I wish Popeye's would put chicken gizzards on the menu.

They had livers and gizzards at select locations until a few years ago. I think the buffet mentioned in this article still serves livers occasionally.

New Iberia got rid of buffet?

A close friend, who is an expert in Popeyes's unlimited cuisine, confirmed the New Iberia closure to be "some time ago."
