Takes courage to shoot people?
I know there are many good and courageous cops. However I believe the system works towards corrupting good cops.
They allow the ones that do cross the line the line get away with it which causes the attitude of many to sour towards them which in turn fosters the conflict further.
When the police decide to police the police and hold the bad ones accountable th3n the public attitude may change.
