Bathroom sink clogs after water running for about 10 minutes. Runs down the drain fine before. Any easy fix for this? Only 1 sink in the whole house doing this.

that tells you that the clog is a long way away from that sink and that the pipe is filling up before it backs up...are you sure it is the only one that is backing up?...make it happen and then turn on other faucets to see if they will back up once the drain pipe is full...after you do that, check to see if water level in the plugged sink will rise if you turn off that faucet and turn on another one...

a plumber can figure it pretty easy, but it is probably not something that you are going to figure out and fix yourself...

be damn sure that nothing happens like a toiled sticks open that could flood the place while you are away...

Did 2 gallons of bleach this am. It backed up into the sink after about 1.5 gallons. It didn't fix it.

BTW, is your house on a mechanical or septic?

Is this sink at the end of the plumbing line closest to the septic or mechanical?

Just asking because some people never pump out their systems then wonder why shite starts backing up into their house.

Of course it's more likely it's just a clogged pipe that a plumber with a snake can fix like I posted above.

If the home is older, it could be roots on the main line. If a gallon and a half backed it into your sink then it probably isn't that and is probably just a clog. Liquid Fire does a pretty good job, nothing but sulphuric acid and stinks like hell.

if two gallons backed it up, it is a likely a clog in the wall behind the sink...maybe even the p-trap...

How long after last backup did you do the bleach? 10 minutes of water running is more than 1.5 gallons.
