Ronnie Marino Plumbing. Carl is the main guy.

Not the cheapest in town, but you're going to get a quality job done right.

Just go buy one at the home depot and tell them to send someone over to put it in...no point in sweating over $25 difference in cost, IMO...

I wouldn't go with a Home Depot / lowes unit if you plan to stay in house for more than a few years.

I worked with a master plumber a few years who's a good friend of mine. Bottom line, don't go cheap, get somebody with a license and dosen't do 5-6 different trades, fwiw

Thanks -- American Plumbing has good reviews. I thought about doing it myself, but common sense won out.

This is a really easy job that you can knock out in an hour or two yourself. No need to pay someone. Plumbers aren't cheap at all. Their labor will cost you more than the water heater probably.

They are. It's the same whether you get it at Home Depot or Coburn's.

The units at big box stores have plastic fittings and valves and stuff. At a supply house you get solid brass fittings and valves. Better internal components and insulation too. Replaced mine last year and a plumber friend wouldn't do it with Home Depot unit. He educated me on differences.

You just have to get the same model numbers. They will have the same model number and then add an A or something at the end of it for the cheaper one. Supply houses carry those too if you want them.

Changing water heater is not very difficult plumbing, so you don't really need a great plumber, just one that will show up , do what they need to and back it up (make sure they are licensed, insured) but go with whoever can get there and get it done

Long story short.. Had a busted pipe in my slab and called 2 different companies who acted like they didn't want my money. I called AP and the owner himself came out the same day and had workers there the next day.
