What are some good places to play tennis in BR? The wife and I want to start playing for fun.

Highland road park, Kenilworth park, independence park, LSU courts adjacent to where the team plays.

YMCA if you have or want a membership and Bocage if you are OT Ballin. Both have clay courts (easy on the knees)

I used to play on them in college often and never had a problem

I have always wondered the same thing. I took a tennis class at LSU years ago and that's where we played.

Great idea, but be careful playing doubles with your wife, if you are very competitive.

Bocage is very nice and it isn't terribly expensive. I think it is $3000 to join and like $160 a month. There are quarterly food requirements but I don't know what they are. If you are thinking of joining I think it is getting close to capacity.
