Plausible Bin Laden or 9/11 Conspiracies or Secrets

Does anyone have less-crazy secrets/conspiracies they buy into?
I read a novel a few years ago, it may have been by former spook Robert Baer, where the secret involved a photo of CIA officials with Bin Laden (obviously implicating they worked together directly). That is the type of thing I can foresee being legitimate, rather than some elaborate inside job.
For those who don't know a lot about the attacks or early Bin Laden, look up John O'Neill. He was probably the primary guy at the FBI who sounded the alarm on Bin Laden (along with Michael Scheuer at the CIA) but was pretty much ignored.
Anyway, O'Neill was pushed out of the FBI. He subsequently became head of security for the WTC, where he died on 9/11.
I don't think there is a conspiracy there, but it is a pretty intriguing and sad coincidence.

There are stories everywhere that there was advanced knowledge of the attacks, some tips forwarded to our government from others such as Jordan and Russia.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle of the truthers and what the media reports. I don't believe either side.

Read the OP. I don't really mean truther stuff. I mean conspiracies to hide information related to the attacks or the individuals/entities involved.
I think the inside job stuff is foolish. However, I would gamble with about 90% certainty that there is information not in the public sphere related to these subjects that would be mega news stories.

Which book was that? I've read one or two of his books.
Anyway, I thought it was common knowledge that the CIA worked with OBL beginning around the time of the Soviet-Afghan war.
In terms of OBL, I'm still trying to figure out how he was able to have dialysis while on the run for 10 or so years. Having kidney failure and surviving on dialysis while trying to stay hidden seems nearly impossible to me.

I've never heard of a direct working relationship. The CIA obviously worked in Afghanistan in the 1980s, but that was the premise of the book, that the conventional knowledge understated how close the CIA and Bin Laden were during that period.

Dude. Only a total numbnutt nut job believes there was some government run conspiracy to hijack 4 jet liners, bring down the World Trade towers, & kill thousands of Americans.
First there's nO real motive,
Second, the Government's too damn incompetent to pull it off,

I think it was Blow the House Down, which is a novel. I've read Baer's other books, but I read a lot on the subject so it could have been from another author. Anyway, it was a novel that was based on fact, but that wasn't presented as a true scenario (though obviously it could be suggested that the writer was insinuating it was based in truth).
As for the OBL-CIA connection, every book/report I've read indicates that the CIA only worked with the natives in Afghanistan, and not the outsiders which Bin Laden was primarily involved in funding and organizing. I don't think that is true, simply because of the nature of that conflict, but I've never seen any legitimate account that makes a clear OBL-CIA connection.

He just needs a portable dialysis machine. Firend of mine hooks up every night in her house. She takes it with her on vacations etc...
