Plant/Gardening help: Fungus on Roses
Posted on 4/22/17 at 11:15 am

There is some fungus (?) killing the roses in the front yard. Not sure what it is or the correct way to "cure" it.
Plan was to cut all the affected part off to start. Any ideas or recs?
It is a white coating on the buds and the stems.
Thanks for the help.

Just go buy 36 long stems and be done with it

_____ Board: threads have been getting anchored for a while. Just don't want your thread to fall into obscurely before the RoseAIDS are cured.

That is powdery mildew. Roses are very prone to funguses including powdery mildew and black spot. I think Ortho makes something that controls both funguses and contains an insecticide for bugs. Just go to the wal marks or home depot and get yourself something similar and spray it on all of your roses every week or so.
