Places To Live Near LSU (Brightside vs Burbank Estates?)

LSU student looking to live somewhere not to far from campus.
Can rent but looking to buy a condo. I was looking into burbank estates, brightside estates, and summer grove. My brother lived in Courtney Place back in 2006, but those are a little over my price range. Which is the best of those, and are there better options? If so, whats the best place?

Stay away from Brightside area unless you love to sit in traffic on your way to/from school. Higher % getting shot as well

Brightside Estates was legit when I lived there (09-11). I have no clue what they are like now. But I do know that they built a Brightside Estates East. Check those out.
