asking for $5 after you tipped her $2 is ridiculous. I cannot imagine that works often.
I think you would be surprised. WAY more people than not will do almost anything to avoid awkward or confrontational situations, especially when it comes out of nowhere, and $3 isn't a lot of money. I bet most pussies give her at least a little extra.

Give her a very nice tip.

I try to be fair with everyone when given the chance to do so. When people try to dictate to me what they think I should do is when they can expect less than satisfactory results.

Should have given her the tip IYKWIM

I would have said you earned those $2 so what you gonna do to earn that $3?

Tell her you have a larger tip, but it's attached to a large shaft and you don't think she has room for it in her wallet.
Posted on 8/1/16 at 5:24 pm to BullredsRus
I fricking hate when people ask for tips like that
Posted on 8/1/16 at 5:25 pm to BullredsRus
You should have tripped her, then said, "Sorry, I don't hear very well."
Posted on 8/1/16 at 5:28 pm to Hangit
I think it used to be like $2 or something. Taking multiple orders on the same trip gave you the most bang for your buck.

Don't they get like an automatic 2.50 delivery fee? Idc if that makes to driver or not, I'm still paying it
Posted on 8/1/16 at 5:30 pm to BullredsRus
What poor schmuck tips $2 on a delivery? I tip $2 per order of drinks at a damn all inclusive you cheap arse!
Posted on 8/1/16 at 5:31 pm to BullredsRus
I would have said why the frick would I give you $5 when I could get something more to eat off the menu for that?
Posted on 8/1/16 at 5:31 pm to Hangit
I worked at a Papa Johns about 10 years ago and it was 75 cents per order.
ETA: that was before everyone started charging the delivery fee, so it may have gone up since then.

frick that, did she look like an addict? Her approach seemed desperate, but if she wants to get good tips.. She can be polite, do any type of gesture that shows she goes beyond what you expect from a delivery person, etc.
When you want your pizza delivered, you don't want to have a delivery person trying to hit you up for a bigger tip. I would have done the same thing. Do they teach any type of social communication class in HS? They need to start because people have no problems asking for shite these days. There are certain things I would have to much pride to do, but it seems like today its more acceptable to just ask for it.

What pisses me off is the delivery charge...the drivers see none of that. The drivers use their own cars typically, so wtf is that extra charge for?

frick her. I would have told her something. I get papa johns at least once a week or two. (Yeah I'm fat). Usually the drivers are low key. I never carry cash but when I place my order I do at least 4 dollars on the bill. Well they had a young brother deliver my pizza last time. I had a five out ready to give to him. He starts asking me if he was fast enough. I said something like sure it was fine. I wasn't even that hungry so I was in no hurry. Then he starts explaining his whole shift to me and previous deliveries. I felt like I was talking to my dad after a 12 pack. He got the five.

I could have sworn when I worked for Domino's for about 3 weeks that we got paid a flat rate for every trip, plus tips.

You already know. If someone makes a big deal out of the fact that they work for tips, commissions, tries to upsell you, or alludes to the fact that they have a special burden of having BILLZ to paaay, you know what it is.
