Stay in Scottsdale. Easy distance to Phoenix but much nicer. Nothing against Phoenix tho. I enjoyed my visit there.

I don't know if hiking is your thing but if it is, Phoenix is the best city in the country for hiking IMO. Camelback mountain, South Mountain Park, etc. all really cool, fairly easy hikes. The desert scenery is just amazing.

Yea. Scottsdale is the place to be.

I was stuck in Glendale when I was there.

Biltmore area isn't bad at all.

But yeah.....spend your time in Scottsdale. Better restaurants, shopping, etc. Hotter women in the bars at night in the Old Town area (this is where you want to spend your nights at trust me).

Just had a birthday dinner at Citizen Public House. That restaurant is amazing (you HAVE to get the chopped salad with your meal if you go....trust me). The Mission is another awesome restaurant in Old Town. The Gladly is a sister restaurant to Citizen Public House and in the biltmore area. Never been but heard good things.

It's about to start warming up more so keep an eye on the weather. Enjoy your trip!

When are you going.....Scottsdale Culinary festival is April 16-17 and it's a lot of fun. Lots of different foods, beer garden, margarita area, etc. Lots of hot chicks wearing sundresses with high heeled sandals looking slutty and out on the prowl.

OP, the wife and I did a little trail ride thru the Phoenix South Mtn Park. I don't know if horses are your thing, but it was a neat way to see some different country. Just a thought.

I was at the Westin Kierland two weeks ago for four days at a conference. We never left the resort, unfortunately. I was blown away at the cleanliness of Scottsdale, the Phoenix airport, roads, etc. I will certainly be back for an extended vacation.

Kierland area is nice. Kierland Commons and The Quarter are both really cool shopping areas to walk around. Some good restaurants in there. And Ipic(upscale movie theater that is amazing) is located in the Quarter.

OP if you like golf you will be in a golfer's paradise. There are like 90 golf courses located in/near Scottsdale alone.
