They called to tell me his leg was hurt and they should do an x-ray. It's going to cost me about 200 bucks. If my dog is in their care shouldn't they be responsible?

I'd get all the animals out then light the building on fire.

They're trying to rip you off.

Of course they should be responsible, if not they would have a financial incentive to hurt the animals boarded there.

im sorry to hear about your pet, but im sure somewhere you signed something releasing them from responsibility. We board our pets all the time to travel and there's always documents they make us sign, I never read them but Im sure its in there

The forms you fill out with a vet/boarder usually have the amount you're willing to pay in case something happens. Unless you have pet insurance, you're likely going to have to pay out of pocket.

Was your dog in a kennel for the majority of the time (and taken out 3 to 4 times a day for bathroom breaks)? Or was your dog allowed to play with other dogs while at your vet's "day care?"

You better pay up or another "unfortunate accident" may happen, and your dog will com back with 2 legs and two nubs.

It depends.

Did they contractually agree to responsibility for all injuries or injuries under certain circumstances?

Absent contractual obligations, did they act in a legally intentional or negligent manner that was the proximate cause of the pet's injury?

You didn't provide enough information to answer your question.

You shouldn't have such weak legged dogs.
I bet he's a pure breed.

You are proposing that a vet purposely abused a dog in their care in order to treat it. And that it is a widespread practice.

Let's not get all nit picky with ridiculous examples.

because people are generally assholes who will find a way to make money where they can. Not all body shops are owned by pieces of shite either, but a lot of them are.
