Just start talking back to the person on speaker and join in the conversation. They'll get the hint...hopefully

Back in '07 I was at the Circle K on Brightside in BR when the guy in front me in line got his cell phone ripped out of his hand and flung across the store by the guy in front of him for taking obnoxiously loud with speaker phone.

The older gentleman just quietly said,"quit dat shite...", the dude trembled and just stood there while people laughed and cheered. It remains one of the best things I've ever seen before in my life.

Many times you will just see them walking around holding their phone out away from them....on speaker. How much more difficult is it to take that arm and rest that phone....on their ear?

Because it's an option?

Why does it matter? How is this different than two people having a conversation standing, IDK two to three feet from each other?

It's the only thing worse than people who talk unnecessarily loudly in airports on a business call.

Again...because people having a conversation with one another in person usually don't talk loudly.

Those on speaker phone tend to talk louder and have their volume turned up louder so that you cannot help but overhear the entire conversation.

Use of a speaker phone unless you have multiple people in a room participating should be banned. Also, it should be required that you inform the other party that you are using a speaker phone.

The highly annoying HR lady in the office next to me does it constantly whether it's personal or professional. I had to hear her yelling with an Amazon rep the other day because whatever cheap shite she bought was damaged when she received it.

I can see that I guess.

I'm usually too concerned with what I am doing to give a shite about others conversations.

I suppose it's one of those things people choose to let bother them.

I can't stand people that use speaker phone at all. If I call you and you put me on speaker I'm hanging up.

I was on a Southwest flight a few weeks ago and the guy sitting next to me was having this conversation on the phone while we were waiting to load the plane for like 10 minutes loud as frick. Everyone on the plane including the flight attendants were rolling their eyes. The flight attendant came to me tap me on the shoulder and she apologized and gave me free drinks the entire flight.
