I cannot believe how amazing the people from LA are. Truly unbelievable. I am so proud of my home state.

What else are you gonna do? We're all in the same (figuratively and literally in some cases) boat.

Talked to a guy in Zachary today who lost his son in law last week and lost his home this weekend. Always a smile on his face and a positive attitude. True character shines through in moments like this. It's truly special to see the selflessness this weekend.

My ole buddy from G-town lost everything yesterday/day before(it's all running together in my head) and he's been out busting arse and helping ever since.

People who I have met that lost "everything" don't feel as if they did. They still have the most important thing and that is life. They are using it to help out where they can.
