Nothing like sitting at the bar with a couple dozen raw and several cold Yuengling drafts.

Looks like peg legs it is. I looked it up and they have a classic rock band playing that night, good thing I can walk to hotel!
I will post a review when we get back. Thanks

The Sandshaker Lounge--it's a shitshow but very entertaining.
Can you still get a Bushwacker and an 8-ball for $150?

Grand Marlin is the best food around hands down. Hemingway's for brunch. Bottomless mimosas
Yes

McGuires - with the right group, you'll have a hell of a hangover.

Don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if you could.

They have a halfway decent Mardi Gras parade on the mainland. Decent being relative to like, Baton Rouge Mardi Gras.

My wife and I like Hemmingway's. It's a nice change from all the typical beach food.

I live here so I know what's up. Beach places are alright, but all the best restaurants and bars are in-town. Take the 15 minute drive to Palafox St and thank me later.

Global Grill has great tapas
Dharma Blue for sushi
Nom for sushi/ramen
Five Sister's Blues Cafe for soul food
McGuire's is actually really good and has a huge menu
The Fish House is my favorite seafood place
Pot Roast and Pinot for fancy American food

For bars:
pretty much any bar on Palafox
