It’s obviously the curse of Robert E. Lee. He watched over your city for 133 years. He brought you through hurricanes and economic depressions. But, you removed him. You no longer enjoy his spiritual protection. You abandoned him and now he turns his face from you. Farewell New Orleans farewell.

As of August 30th, 50% of all restaurants in Orleans Parish were closed and 33% of all hotels were shut down with 3/4 of those closures permanent. Jefferson was faring much better with 30% of all restaurants closed and 5% of all hotels shut down. Didn't get the figures for St. Tammany.
I would like to see these figures as I can’t imagine that the drop is nearly as drastic as the southshore.

People should hang for this.
The fact that you didn't write "people should be stoned to death for this" is a powerful testament to the resilience of our nation's Christian ethos.

Even if that works out that way, it will be the city governments getting bailed out, not all the businesses that closed. They're ruining the lives of millions of people to play politics.
Government control. Welcome to the United States of Kamala.

People will laugh and scoff, but the extent to which things have gone to hell in a hand basket for NO since that statue came down is something to behold. One bizarre tragedy after another. They may want to put him back up. What could it hurt?

Any politician calling to shut down should have to forfeit their salary just like they are causing their constituents to do.
