Full Story
I don't know about this one....

quote:

The mother knew that her daughter would be marked for the rest of her life, recalling, “As much as the birthmark isn’t dangerous, I knew it could have a huge impact on the rest of her life. Although in our eyes she was perfect, I knew other people would cruelly point and stare at her.”

What says the OT?

I don't see how this will help her with other people and seems like it may just bring more attention.

What would be funny would be if the daughter's eventually cleared up and went away

Like the effort but maybe they should be better off prepping the child to accept the differences in people. It's ok she has a birthmark or deformaty, teach them to accept it and not let it be a crutch or hinder their deveolpemt. If she had no hands would they lop them off too.

well thought out rational and sensible post, GTFO!

What's going to happen when their 2nd child is born and doesn't have the birth mark?

Cool gesture on their behalf, would have figured the kid was a little older though and already experiencing some issues with other kids. She looks about 2.

But this...

Honey-Rae’s mom got her tattoo for her 40th birthday, while dad got his as a Christmas present.

From another article, it sounds like the parents (or Mom at least) have more problems with the girl's birthmark than others:

quote:

She recalls: "She’s struggled to breathe when she was first born and was rushed to the special care unit. When I went to see her she was just lying in a little incubator and that’s when I saw it. It broke my heart.

quote:

"I just sobbed and sobbed knowing my baby was going to permanently marked for the rest of her life.

Who the frick looks at their newborn baby struggling to breathe and cares what kind of birthmark she has?
