P1 is worth it imo, no commercials, few more skips I think.

I have several stations on mine and have never had this issue
Posted on 7/21/14 at 10:04 am to saltybulldog
No. Even though they have gotten really bad with the commercials, I'm still not buying it. It also went up a buck. I use to have it, but cancelled. You still don't get unlimited skips. If it was unlimited skips, I'd buy it. You only get a few additional skips with Pandora one.

Yes. You can play stations based on artist or song

You've never gotten a message saying "We cannot find any more songs for this station"? Hmm

I have spotify premium

I've never heard of Pandora One. Is that just what Pandora calls its premium service where you pay to get rid of the advertisements? That's not worth it to me.
I have spotify, and I haven't seen anything else out there that would make me consider changing. It's very rare that spotify doesn't have something that I want, and I can listen to what I want, when I want, unlike the Pandora's radio style set up.
Eventually, if Amazon Prime Music expands its selection enough, I'd consider dropping spotify since I already pay for Prime to get the free shipping and video services.

Google Play and their Listen Now is the best.
You can play any song you want.
You can make a radio off any song, artist, or genre just like Pandora. But then not only can you skip whenever you want, but it shows you all the songs the radio put on the playlist, so you can skip 20 songs all at once if you'd like. That way its not really skipping, but putting in whatever your in the mood, and picking and choosing what plays next.

I bought it by accident when I didn't have my phone screen locked while in my pocket and somehow the stars aligned. It was kinda cool for that month but I cancelled it. Your skips were still limited, just no commercials.

I have Rdio Premium. Love it.

If you're going to spend money on a music provider, I'd suggest Spotify.

Rumor has it you still get the commercials with the purchased version.

i've had it 5-6 years or more. i got it when live365 dropped my favorite texas music station. it's on at the office 4-8 hours a day and at home about 12 hours a day. No commercials and it introduces me to music i haven't heard before.
it never plays rascal flatts, so yeah, it's well worth it.

Or you can use google chrome and the Adblock extension.
I don't even get pandora ads on my phone.

quote:Yes, but if you're used to Pandora, the Spotify stations are garbage. In the few times I've used it, the song selections almost seem random, often having very little in common with what I was going for.

I use Spotify Premium & Pandora One, and it's more than worth it to me to have both. I use Spotify for playlists and listening to albums, and use Pandora for stations. I wish the Spotify radio stations were an adequate substitution for Pandora, but they're not.

you do understand the difference between on screen ads and the audio ads that 'buffer' in between every 5th song right?
Posted on 7/21/14 at 10:18 am to CAD703X
I get those all the time on my phone, no audio ads tho.
Posted on 7/21/14 at 10:31 am to JohnZeroQ
I used to have it but now I just use my dads gfs account. She never uses it anyway.
