It’s official.
My first rugrat is going to be a girl. I have two step sons who are easy peasy.
Drop your fatherly advice below. And recommendations for cheap ammo, scary looking knives, etc.

You will love her like nothing you’ve ever loved. She will have you wrapped around her finger, stay strong and parent her like your sons..
The hardest part of it all will be when she decides she wants to date. No person will be good enough. Just trust in Jesus and know that he will help guide you to being the best man she will ever know. Good luck with the journey and you will be a better man for knowing her. Merry Christmas.

You'll spoil her despite her often being a complete count to you and the rest of your family. She will inevitably be your favorite because there's a greater perceived responsibility to protect her than your boys. You will soon despise any boy who shows any interest in her. You will bite your lip any time she mentions a cute boy.

Do they have a father's house to head too and give you a break? I have both genders. One thing I have noticed with mine and coaching youth sports, all kids are difficult sub-5ish. The more involved you are when they are young (providing an example, discipline, etc) the easier they are when they get older. I cant tell you how many guys I have seen bury themselves in work the first 10 years of a kids life and wonder why they are wild as hell as teenagers.

Congrats! 3 months out from a girl here ourselves. Looking forward to 18 years of dreaded hell with 3 girls total in the house...especially during puberty. I am currently looking at a cheap getaway plan/

Don’t bother with ammo. Get a batleth and sharpen that when the boyfriend comes over.
