That shirt didn't hit the shelves this weekend. It's been in stores and their website for almost a year.
The shirt in the picture was displayed at their Foley outlet malls location.

I get their "anti-establishment" mindset, but to display it front and center on Memorial Day is pretty ballsy IMHO

Gotta love it.

First off..FRICK anyone who burns our flag or disrespects what it stands for. But having the right to express your opinion, however stupid it may be, is what we fight to protect

I'd call it a dumbass move before ballsy.
Looks like they're trying to smooth it over with a sale

The company has not publicly addressed the controversy. They are however celebrating the holiday by offering 50 percent off deals on select brands.

They also promoted their "red, white and blue" clothing selection on Facebook Friday as they were being inundated with the complaints.

Flag burning is like saggy pants. Ignore it, and it'll stop. If someone owns the flag they're burning, and are not breaking any ordinances, then other people shouldn't stress about it. Personally, I have more shite to worry about then someone burning their own flag. No one should take this personally, even vets, it's not worth your time.

With that said, I'm glad pacsun got called out for the upside down flag, I hope they lose their arse on them

I'm going to cut my anticipated personal 2015 budget to Pacsun to $0.00 in protest.

Draconian? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I agree that this variety of stupidity and disrespect usually peters out on it's own.

Really stupid of them since 80% of their shoppers are in the military.

Surely you're joking.

I doubt most of the people shopping at pac-sun know or care to know the meaning behind the shirt. They aren't wearing it as a political statement, they are wearing it because it is different. This is a stupid thing to be offended by.

Yep, because "flag burners" are usually really hulking physical specimens (military, bikers, loggers, oil field trash).......not nerdy looking, flower power, hippies.
