From Seattle after climbing Rainer . Ferry to Olympic park then ferry to Victoria BC hang a days or so.Ferry to Vancouver to end your stay. All beautiful that time of year.

The Space Needle (to those of us of a certain generation) is an icon.

The Columbia Center is a 73-story building in Seattle with an observation area up top. It's pretty cool too if you like heights.

There's a good restaurant (Marination) across the sound from Seattle downtown. Wonderful view. Hawaiian/Korean fusion.

san Juan islands, whidbey island, deception pass, north cascades are incredible.

Leavenworth is a weird place. i thought it was great but not at the top of the list if you're limited on time and it's also pretty out of the way.

One week is all? Damn.

Next time, make it 2-3 weeks ... and spend a whole week on Vancouver Island.

I would have hated to do research back in the 70, 80, 90s for trips!

Internet and discussion boards are a privilege to say the least

3 weeks in one area is a bit much

I couldn't justify that in the U.S. But I could for a different country

We toured Costa Rica for two weeks with our own travel guide and private bus
