I criticize NOLA "leadership" often but I will say this...given the event, the mass numbers of people involved and the usually inebriated state of the people that they have to handle...all of the agencies involved do an incredible job of handling things during Mardi Gras.
I won't be able to make it in for it...but to all who are there, have a safe, enjoyable time.
