Our Lady of Mercy sent a letter out to the parents this weekend letting everyone know that the principal, Brian Mascona, was resigning his position effective "immediately" to pursue other professional opportunities. Anyone have any inside information on this? I find it a little weird that he was all excited about the school year, future of the school, and we are in the middle of the year and he just resigns. Something doesn't seem quite right.

Something doesn't seem right. I agree. Would like to know more considering I really liked him as principal and never heard a bad thing said about him.

To be completely honest, principal of a Catholic elementary/middle school probably doesn't pay shite. That baw probably got a job in the oilfield since #MAGA. He has to go pick out his trucknuts and F250 and he's rolling.

We did too. I have two young kids at Mercy and really was looking forward to having him around for a while. Seemed like a super good guy. Something just doesn't seem right.
