Let me preface this buy saying i am a poor guy right out of college who enjoys outdoor grilling and all around fun in the sun. I have my patio area set up to my liking (grill, furniture, tv, etc) but i am looking for more. I stumbled upon a pool on amazon for $45 that I am thinking about pulling the trigger on. I can think of nothing better than smoking a pork shoulder, hanging out and watching college football in my pool.

What does the OT think?

Your opinion is the only one that matters here...

Make it classy by building a redwood deck around it.

Only rednecks get above ground pools.

Was thinking about just laying down a tarp to cut down on grass in the pool

This is a big investment. I can understand the need to be cautious.

We had a big one of those in med school. Was like $200 with filter and fit on a slab patio.

Kept it from like april through october then just threw it away. It was awesome. Fingered my first nurse in that pool. Giggity.

Planning on just throwing it away as well. Was it hard rolling it up and putting away between uses?
