I would seriously consider refraining from doing any weights at all that would require me to move around on a cast with an extra 50 lbs. Have you considered trying something different to change a routine up? Perhaps some static pullups (pause for 5 seconds with chest to bar on every rep). Perhaps some uneven pullups with one arm grabbing a rolled up towel and the other grabbing the bar? Doing a 10 set drop routine on wide grip overhead lat pull. Start at something heavy like 230 lbs or so and do 3 reps. Then drop weight by 10 lbs and do 3 reps. Continue doing that with no break until you get to 130 lbs for ten total sets. That's 30 reps. Youre muscles will be on fire. All youre really trying to do (which I know you already know this) is shock the muscle. Doing something completely off the wall and different could make you grow faster than you ever have and you dont have to stress your ankle at all. Just trying to help you think outside the box.

Thanks.

I'm just trying to stay active as much as possible. My cardio will be abysmal, but I can at least keep my strength from declining.

I do mostly upper body too. I've gotten great results benching three times a week.

No idea on golf, probably 16 weeks, at best.

I can start to lightly jog 12 weeks after surgery.

Ya miss the whole summer.
Worst time of year to play here anyway. Look at it like that.

My exact thoughts.

I usually play some when I'm in Orlando in late July (there every year) so I may try to play the short course I sent you pics from last year. I'll be right at 12 weeks when I'm there.
