I've kicked it in over drive since shool let out. I was pushing 315 on bench 5-6 times for 3 sets. I was only taking a post workout protein shake, and amino energy during workout. I dropped the amino energy (felt like it was a waste) and I can hardly hit 300 now for 5 reps.
Any recs?

Time to unload the weight and switch up your sets and reps. I'd say go to 3x10 at 65% of 325 and start working your way back up

Unless you are competing as either a powerlifter, weightlifter, or bodybuilder there really is no need to supplement when you can easily acquire all of the necessary macronutrients and micronutrients from a healthy, well-rounded diet. For those particular athletes I highlighted, every slight edge can make a difference in determining who is a champion.

I think it is more important for you to assess both your recent dietary intake, and also evaluate your current training program.

Has there been any drastic variation in your eating habits lately? Are you dealing with any injuries? And what sort of program are you working with?

Now, with all that being said...there are only a handful of supplements that are clinically tested to benefit you from a strength or hypertrophy standpoint.

Creatine is of course the most tried and true legal supplement when it comes to furthering strength progression.

Beta-alanine has its benefits as a lactic acid blocker which can potentially further muscular endurance and enable greater training volume accumulation.

Other than that, there aren't really any magic supplements short of anabolic steroids that will help you progress past a strength plateau.

Again, the key is to reevaluate both your training and your diet. More times than not, the problem lies with one or both factors.

Absolutely agree. Supplements are a waste of time for most people, and those who actually benefit from it is still less than 5% of their results.
