I am looking at pulling the trigger on a Baume Mercier watch. The best price I have found is on Jomashop.com. Local jewelers are not even close. Are there any other sites that typically have better deals than Joma? TIA

Will Baume honor the warranty for a watch bought grey dealer?

Are you defining best by cheapest? Those two don't generally go together.

I've purchased several from them. Price wise, they are compatible with other internet sites. I usually shop their specials, close outs, etc.

Probably not, but jomashop does. In theory.

Great point, tho.

You need to see if they will warranty the watch if something happens because you didn't buy from an AD. Which one are you getting?

I bought a Tissot watch from them a while back. I was convinced as I opened the packaging that it looked like someone had opened it before and returned it, but wasn't sure. Then I got to looking at the watch, and the face of the watch just wasn't lined up correctly. Whole face was off by about 5 degrees. And this was on a $650 (jomashop price) watch.

So take it for what it's worth, but I took it as they were selling returned products.

ETA: Then I found a bunch of tough language on their return page, but it ended up being no problem at all to return it to them and get a full refund.

I think it's 30 days and requires an authorization to return

Thanks. Just saw that. Should I be comfortable with a two year warranty?

Just remember

These things aren't typically a good sign when purchasing a high value item. Not saying it's not real or isn't undamaged, it's just hard to believe a new, quality product could be realistically discounted this much

Their customer reviews are pretty bad.

That's probably the same as the factory warranty (2 years). What do you get from the retail outlets?

Personally, I'm too cheap. I wear this one from Joma:

Agreed. I am a little skeptical. I have a couple of colleagues that have bought from there and said good things. I just wanted some more opinions. That's why I am asking questions. The OT typically provides the best advice on the internet......possibly the world.

Jomashop doesn't sell fake crap. Now every once and a while you will get a lemon from them. Just hope it isn't yours.
