those particular ones are good for sports...but Oakley's aren't trashy imho...I know Costas are all the rage right now....but Oakley's have been around a long time and they make some really great products...im military and have 2 pair of Oakley's that I love...tried on a pair of Costa the other day in a store just to see how I would like em...I prefer my Oak's...it's personal preference...

Oakley is not trashy until they turn white. At this point they have exceeded the threshold for acceptance as not trashy.

Yeah that is my point. I broke down and bought a pair of Wiley X sunglasses that were roughly $150 a few years ago because I got tired of buying glasses for $25 and not giving a shite and losing them. The same with ice chests. I still have my expensive glasses and I still have a sparkling new expensive ice chest. I'm convinced I'm already ahead in the money department as a result.
The other point is that the markup on sunglasses is astronomical and we can quickly turn this thread into a bashing of the monopoly that is Luxottica.

I bought a pair of Oakley's and Revo from the Sunglass Hut at Tanger. Paid 70 a pair which was expensive, but 2 years later I still have both. I say it is a small miracle they lasted.
Usually a 10 dollar pair last me a month before broken or lost.

I have a pair of black Frogskins sitting on my desk right now and they're fantastic. Have a pair of M Frames that I use in the military and to go to the range with.

I feel its almost a good thing to pay a lot for sunglasses since it'll make you value them more and not lose them. Losing sunglasses is as easy as losing socks

Yeah, a cheap pair I would leave on the bar or a table occasionally and not realize it till I was in the car or home. Especially if when I left it was dark and I didn't need them anymore.
