Ok so I am at a loss. The jeep (08 rubicon) simply stopped working. Was sitting in it listening to the radio and wouldn't start. Tried a few times and then for shits and giggle tried the remote start while in it. Now NOTHING works. Like the anti-theft is triggered. I can't even get it to move out of neutral. How in the hell? Anyone have any ideas?

Have you recently crossed your Rubicon?

I take care of it so no reason to believe I pissed it off. There is a red circle flashing above the temp gauge.

try tthis. that's the security alarm
quote:

The Security Alarm System is designed to protect your
vehicle; however, you can create conditions where the
system will arm unexpectedly. If you remain in the
vehicle and lock the doors with the transmitter, once the
system is armed (after 16 seconds), when you pull the
door handle to exit the alarm will sound. If this occurs,
press the “Unlock” button on the remote keyless entry
transmitter to disarm the system. You may also accidentally
disarm the system by unlocking the driver’s door
with the key and then locking it. The door will be locked
but the Security Alarm will not arm.

Papa- the keyless entry isn't doing anything. Not a thing.

Yeah, get out and use the key to reopen the door. Sounds like you armed the alarm.

It seems to be a common problem. I had something similar on my Grand Cherokee that I fixed by unplugging the battery.

it SHOULD go off once you shut the door and unlock it from the outside or with the key fob. If it doesn't I believe they go off after a minute or so
