My thought too. He needs to check the owner's manual of the new dryer to get the correct size of the circuit. Also keep in mind that the breaker needs to match the size of the wiring. Don't put in a 30-amp breaker without making certain that the correct gauge wire is in place.

The correct gauge would be 10 gauge wire. The two pole thirty should have a white and a black wired to it.

My neighbor found the problem. It was a loose wire on the breaker. The bottom pole (white) was very loose. Tighten the screw and I'm in business. Six pack of Bud will be the payment
