Very hard to diagnose something like that over the internet.

Go see a doctor.

Although I haven't been officially diagnosed, I believe that I pulled my chest muscle.

I've suffered for many years with thoracic spine pain and believe that when I "popped" my back recently (I do this several times a day), I pulled a chest muscle.

Currently experiencing shortness of breath and can feel soreness inside my chest, by my pectoral area and tingling in my left hand. Assuming this isn't heart related (I thought it was at first), anything to do to treat this aside from Motrin and ice?

Not sure if this is a joke but you've described cardiac chest pain. If you're serious, then you need to go to the ER or a cardiologist at least.

What if he didn't have insurance?

rub some dirt on it, take a hot bath, and go to bed...if you wake up dead tomorrow morning, it was not a pulled muscle...

Wasn't joking. I still have pain, a little less intense tonight than when I posted. I truly feel it is a pull or strained muscle, however the shortness of breath does concern me.

Now you have me concerned, based upon your username.

I didn't realize how early in the day you posted this...

does it hurt when you take a deep breath or turn a certain way?...

Yes, deep breaths even while still cause me pain.

And yes, when I turn a certain way, I experience pain ... as if something is pulled or strained.

I've taken two lose dose aspirin tonight and have a menthol patch on my back that has provided some relief.

Going to see how I feel tomorrow, providing there is a tomorrow for me and go from there.

If you can reproduce the same pain by taking deep breaths or moving a certain way then it's very unlikely your heart. But if you have any concern at all you need to go get evaluated.

I can. I woke up this morning feeling a little better than last night and significantly better than yesterday morning.

I'll monitor it today and if I notice pain is becoming greater I will go see a doctor immediately.
