In Louisiana can a third party file assault charges?

Jody tagged you on the way out?

Do you mean, can person C file charges on person A for threatening person B?

No I could not locate the information on the mighty Google.

Can person C file charges on person A for assaulting person B.

Couple of points
1. To answer your question. Only if person B is person C's minor child
2. An assault is not a physical attack. That is why I described it as "threatening"
3. A physical attack is a battery.

Thanks Chappy. It was a physical assault and person C is not a minor.

You mean Person B is not a minor?
Posted on 9/9/16 at 9:20 pm to Chappy
Yes sorry. Person B is not a minor.
Posted on 9/9/16 at 9:23 pm to DieSmilen
Ok, no. They are an adult, they have to take care of themselves.
Now, to be clear, if they are unconscious, the police won't wait for them to regain consciousness. Person C can be a witness.

Typical A pressed assault charges on B but physically assaulted B. B has been arrested and person C is trying to get person B out of prison and file charges if possible on A.
Posted on 9/9/16 at 9:44 pm to DieSmilen
No, you can't press charges on person A when they beat up person B. Person B is screwed, and should probably quit hanging out with person A. Now, as for you, as your fake Internet attorney, I advise you to stop hanging around with trashy people.

B is full of shite and using C. They are not a victim and are right where they should be
Just a guess based on experience

C should assault B for getting them involved
Posted on 9/9/16 at 10:12 pm to DieSmilen
If A is going to be stupid with B they better be tough cause C ain't getting them out of an a$$ kicking.
