Nope. Just the plastic covers. I plan to be in this place for only 5 years so I don't need anything fancy.

It's probably a small amount and he's dividing a whole order amount and or freight over the LF required.

Off the top of my head

Schulter strips in general are high dollar. We put some in at East St.John High School and it cost about the same. We got a little bit of a deal because we were buying 150LF of it but its still a pretty penny.

Just out of curiosity, are you unhappy with the total price of the house and are looking for places to save money or are you just looking over the list to see what all is on it and noticed some of these items have a high unit cost?

So after badgering the contractor, he now tells me he made a "mistake." It is $34 for 96 inches not $34/foot. These guys

They just try to sneak shite in. I know there are GC's here who will defend things and say it is justified but I have caught enough in the last year of working up bids on my job to know it isn't an accident.

Like the $2,500 one guy listed for a port a potty. I questioned and he said the Parish requires him to have one on site. I said it wasn't that he put it on the bid, it was that I checked and the six month rental was around $700 with servicing. I don't see marking up a pisser that is delivered and serviced by someone else at 300% as reasonable.
