OT Chefs: do you clean as you cook, or do you wait until your meal is over?

As I cook and then immediately afterwards.

If I let it sit, it won’t get done till the next day.

Unload the dishwasher before you get started, fill it up as you cook dinner, run a load after dinner.

Depends on the meal. If there is a long simmer stage or something then I will clean as I go.

Breakfast should be hot, so I get it all piping and go back later.

I cooked a gumbo once and k swear I dirties every f’ing pot and pan in the kitchen.

you always clean as you go. but that doesn't mean there still isn't a big mess to clean after the meal is over.

I learned to cook on a line, cleaning is for later or done by someone else. The only thing I clean as I go are my knives partly because I use a 10" chef for the vast majority of my prep work.

My wife and I split cooking and if you cook the other cleans that night.

Clean as I go and by clean I mean rinse and put in the dishwasher.

I try to clean as I go but most the time I’m still cleaning when I’m done.
