Do and of you OT ballers with full beards do any type of maintenance on them, other than your typical wash in the shower? When I first grew in the beard I had awful beard dandruff, and have finally gotten it under control by not washing every day/ adding beard oil daily; but, I was wondering if any of your pros added anything else into the mix? A conditioner or softener? What works for you?

I believe we literally had just this thread on Tuesday.

ETA Should be easy to find to get a bunch of answers. In summary, everybody uses all kinds of different stuff.

I use a 3 in 1 body wash and never had dandruff.

ETA Again Found it!

What does all that stuff do? I've never treated my beard any different than the hair on my head and its soft, thick, and I've never had dandruff.

You guys must be pansies.

Top 10 Beard Oils

I like the Proraso. It's a masculine smell. Kind of smells like fresh cut wood. They have a hot beard wash that makes it so soft.. highly recommended!

Nothing more than body wash, and a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner.

Probably shouldn't have did this. Make fun all you want.

this

I've had a beard for 10+ years and never used anything other than normal shampoo

does it make it really soft or something? my wife complains sometimes about my beard scratching her...so would these oils help with that?

I find the beard butter the best at keeping it soft for the wife.

Mine is soft as it is. If it starts to get rough I run the clippers through with a #8 and it's fine.
